He decided to explore in a deep and detailed the meaning of the word symbiosis, making a series of photographs showing the intimacy and the merger of the two bodies, the artist Rik Garrett, with the project called “Symbiosis”. The passion becomes therefore these images fundamental to the life of a couple, indisputable foundation of a visceral love. Alchemy, magic emerges from these bodies hugging, shaking, intertwine, in a sequence of images which is to explore the symbiotic need of two people and the inescapable desire to live it and treat yourself to someone else.
Within domestic settings somewhat reassuring, corners of parquet, wooden stairs, shelves and chairs, bring to a newspaper already known and lived. His photographic images and pictorial, the yield is in fact given by the application of acrylic paint directly on the photograph, are printed on small supports, photographs getting very small, the size of which is the final of 8.25 cm x 10.79 cm. Strength and vulnerability emerge thus while these symbiotic relationships result of a great chemistry.

I worked on this concept and I’ve made it my goal, dissolving the boundaries of the human body.
