A metà fra performance e visual-art, quadri che fondono l’arte della danza con quella del disegno, mettendo su tela il linguaggio del corpo che solo la musica riesce a sprigionare.
SI tratta delle opere eccezionali dell’artista americana Heather Hansen, artista che usando il carboncino imprime i movimenti del suo corpo, ottenendo un risultato è magnifico.
Le sue opere (più o meno effimere) composte da figure e sagome vengono realizzate attraverso una tecnica di “disegno cinetico”, ispirata dai segni lasciati dal nostro passaggio sulla sabbia. Una ricerca sperimentale con cui trasferire su carta l’espressione artistica, ”svuotando” della loro intensità emotiva i gesti cinetici del proprio corpo. L’idea è nata, come spiegato dall’artista che nella vita è anche ballerina, notando come danzando su una spiaggia i movimenti restino impressi sulla sabbia. Con impeto e grazia, la Hansen si contorce su enormi tele, lasciando che il corpo si muova libero ed esprima sè stesso attraverso figure simmetriche di fronte alle quali lo spettatore si trova ad interrogarsi su ogni gesto e movimento.
Ogni curva ed ogni sua sfumatura sembrano rappresentare una liberazione, come nelle antiche danze rituali, attraverso le quali l’artista non butta semplicemente fuori i propri sentimenti ed imprimendoli diventano immortali. Heather ha anche creato un video chiamato “Emptied Gestures” nonché gesti nel vuoto, nel quale simula il suo particolare lavoro in ogni movimento e dettaglio, per permettere di ammirare la sua arte anche a coloro che non hanno la fortuna di vederla dal vivo.
